Worldwide Large Area TFT-LCD Panel Supply-and-Demand Forecast, 4Q 2014

This research report presents demand and supply volume forecast and recent quarter review of the worldwide large area TFT-LCD panel industry covering Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese panel makers' production capacity.

The report provides product mix analyses including monitor, notebook PC, and LCD TV panel. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with large area TFT-LCD panel manufacturers. The report finds that the worldwide large area TFT-LCD panel industry's supply, on an area basis, is expected to be slightly higher than demand in 2015. LCD TV branded vendors, in general, hold a positive outlook for the end-user market demand in 2015, and therefore are going to increase capacity, either through installing new lines or expanding existing capacity. However, should the demand fall short of expectations, the continuous expansion of panel production capacity will pose a risk of oversupply and supply-demand imbalance in 2016.
