At present, China's overall power socket market scale is about CNY 11 billion, of which, the Bull brand accounts for the largest market share with 20% in China market. Other joint-venture brands such as Philips, Bilkin and some other first-tier international brands are OEM in China, but not imported from foreign countries directly. The differences of joint-venture brands and domestic brands are the differences on production lines, safety standards and materials. In general, the joint-venture brands own more advanced production line technology, higher safety standards and better raw materials.  

Currently, China's power socket manufacturing industry can be divided into three levels: firstly, view functional products as the target, the level is high but the market share is low, the primary reason is the price; secondly, the middle-end products, the market share is obvious higher than the first category; thirdly, low-end and even the inferior products, the market share reaches as high as about 70%. 

As for the product technology maturity, currently, China has become the world's power socket factory, a part of domestic brands which are represented by Hongyi have a certain competitiveness in the international market, the product technology can meet the technical standards of Europe and the United States and other advanced countries. 

As far as the concerned factors of Chinese consumers, for the power socket products, the consumers most concerned about price, and then is quality, the third and fourth factors are brand and appearance respectively, the last factor is material. There are many enterprises in power socket industry, the product homogenization is serious and the product substitution is strong, thus, consumers are easy to produce cognitive alternative effect. 

In general, due to the lack of technical level, macro-control, supervision and administration method in China's power socket industry, the current overall management of the industry is a bit confusing; this seriously restricts the industrial sustainable development and improvement of the technical level. The main representations are the low product quality level and the flooded of inferior products. Doubled with the fierce market competition, the price system of power socket products is highly irregular. The prices of high-end products and the of low-end products often have a gap of several times, several ten times and even a hundred times, and led to the fierce competitions for market share among enterprises.
